I dag fick jag det här mailet:
"Greetings in the name of God, Please let this not sound strange to you, for my only surviving lawyer who would have done this died early this year. To that effect, I prayed and searched and got your email id from your country's Christian guestbook. My real names are Mrs. Rosemary Burrows from United Kingdom , but people who knew me used to call me 'Rosy"B" I am 58 years old. For a long time, I am diagnosed with cancer of the breast which is presently almost affecting my sensory organs. From all indication my conditions is really deteriorating and getting worse. It is quite obvious that, according to my doctors they have advised me that I may not live for the next few months, this is because my ill-stage has gotten to a very bad state. I was brought up from a motherless babies home and got married to a man who was my late husband for twenty years of childless. My husband died in a fatal motor accident, before his death we were true Christians. Since his death I decided not to re-marry, I sold all our assets and deposited the sum of US$1.6 million with a bank which is still at present and the management of the bank notified me last week to come forward and receive the money because its account has been dormant for so long or I should rather issue a letter of authorization to someone to receive it on my behalf since I can not come over there personally because of the condition of my health. As I am writing this letter to you, I am using my 14 inch laptop computer in a hospital here in Switzerland where I have been undergoing treatment for cancer. I have completely lost the ability to talk. It is my last wish to see that this money is invested in any organization of your choice and distributed each year. I want you as God fearing person, to also use this money to fund churches, orphanages and widows. I took this decision before I rest in peace because my time will soon be up. As soon as I receive your reply I shall give you the contact of the Bank. I will also issue you a Letter of Authorization that will prove you as the new beneficiary of my Estate fund. Efter att ha kollat upp det, så visade det sig att mailet kom i från någon i Finland =I Ja, det finns scammare från alla länder och de är illa att ha de i Norden och i Afrika men trots allt tycker jag nog sämre om våra egna scammare, som ändå inte har det lika illa som i länderna i Afrika, där fattigdomen är mycket större än vi här kan inse. Att dessutom veta att våra landsmän i norden och europa har varit duktiga på att plundra dessa fattiga länder gör inte saken bättre.
Den här kvinnan säger sig ligga på ett sjukhus i Schweiz, för behandling av sin bröstcancer som hon säger ha spritt sig och att hon nu inte längre kan tala.
Visst låter det rörande och hon lägger ut "sitt liv" i en främlings händer och som hon säger sig ha hittat i nå´n kristen gästbok här från Sverige (jag gick ur svenska kyrkan för massor av år sedan och har definitivt inte skrivit något i någon gästbok, annat än på spelsida King.com =) som nog knappast tillhört något kristet sammanhang.
Hon säger sig ha haft en make som dog efter 20 års äktenskap, i en bilolycka (bil och flygplanskrascher är återkommande i dessa mail). Till och med (min enda överlevande advokat, hennes egna ord) advokaten dog tidigare i år. Själv kommer hon snart att dö hon med, säger hon.

Visst låter det sorgligt och hade varit det med om allt var sant men det är det inte =(
Jaa, vad annat kan man säga, än att det är sorgligt att det finns de som utnyttjar människors godtrogenhet och vilja att hjälpa andra.
Ledsamt är ordet jag känner när jag får de här mailen.
Nästa gång ska jag lägga in lite från de trista killarna jag nyligen "bekantat" mig med =)
